Weight Loss Diva’s: A New Direction
By Opal Tribble • Sep 19th, 2007 • Category: FeaturesOver the past few weeks I’ve been thinking about the direction I want to got with Weight Loss Diva’s and I think this will be an ezine/blog format. I believe I’ll share tips for weight loss and include simple exercises that you can do at home.
Rather than refer people to my website The Raw & The Cooked. That website is strictly about food recipes. The majority are low in calories and they all are healthy, delicious, and fairly simple to make. I’ll also include simple meals that you can make at home. I’ll also include the nutritional information with the recipe because I know some people to maintain their goals do be attentive to them.
Eventually I would like to include a section where people can give testimonials on what has worked for them. If you have any suggestions please feel free to leave them in this post. I have seven websites and at times updating them can be a challenge especially since I only do this as a hobby. It’s something I truly enjoy writing about. I think updating a few times weekly will be the best option.
I’m currently working on an article that looks at natural suppressants for weight loss. In my brief article Does Apple Cider Vinegar Help You Lose Weight I wrote about one product that people have used in their goals to reduce their weight. It’s important to note that this is only part of it to effectively lose weight naturally you need to be proactive and focus on what you are eating. Start reading those labels.
If you haven’t already thought of ways you can introduce simple, low calorie meals into your daily regime now is the time to do so. If you are a child that is looking for ways to lose weight you might have to talk with your parent or guardian and ask for assistance in helping you reach your goal, especially if they are cooking the meals. If your beating yourself up because of the food choices you have made try not to do that. It can be hard. Take baby steps.

Looking forward to the ezine content!!!
I love this post and the fact that you are keeping your readers informed on how/why you are doing the things you are doing and the direction you are taking. It really has a nice, homey, comfy feel here. Goodness, though - it looks like other sites just love to scrape your text based on those first two comments. Grr - they bug me.

Hello Diva-
I’m new to your blog…are you a nurse/nutritionist or just a Jane? I took an ayurvedics class and the teacher commented on raw foods draining the body of energy. He said you could usually tell a raw food person by looking at them. Anyway, he suggested for me that I eat only cooked veggies.
Hi Diva,
I hope everything will work out the way you planned it. The planned changes definitely sound good to me, especially the testimonial-section!
It surely helps to know that you’re not alone
Keep up the good work!

I would totally say add the testimonials. On weight loss and health sits it’s huge…especially if you get before and afters and specifics like “I lost 31 pounds in 103 days and 3 and half inches off my waist” Good luck with the testimonials…it’s been my experience they work big time, especially on video.
Good luck diva!
There’s lots of good information on your site.
I agree wholeheartedly with the tip that anyone interested in their nutrition (and not just weight loss) should take time to read labels of prepared foods.
When a product contains corn syrup, sugar, high fructose corn syrup or sucrose as one the first four items on a prepare food label, you can bet there are more calories, and less nutritive value, than you want.
Keep up the good work.
This is the weirdest thing. My co-workers and I are trying to loss weight as an entire office. So everyone is supposedly on board. Today one co-worker of mine we were discussing the apple cider vinegar. We tried it today and was barely able to get it down. So I googled for info on 5 names (nick names) for weight loss divas (since we are all divas here in my office) and this site popped up WITH the apple cider vinegar link, so we of course had a good laugh. But I am glad to find your site. Good Luck.
What a great idea one stop shopping for exercise and good nutrition tips. thanks
